OUR OBJECTIVE

GATHER AN INSIGHT
INTO US...

In response to the low participation and retention rate, UK organizations (e.g. Women in Technology), committees (e.g. BCS Women) and campaigns (e.g. Computer Clubs for Girls) have been set up to address the problem. To complement and provide an evidence base for future interventions this project adopts a new approach, differentiated from existing research by considering the problem from two unexplored angles simultaneously

We are very pleased to be able to present the spring Edition of the 2017 Women in IT Scorecard- India.  More information here

Gender, Skilled Migration And IT:
A Comparative Study Of India And The UK

Women consitute over 25% of the Indian IT workforce. The UK figure is under 16%. (BCS)

Women's participation in the IT workforce in India is on an increase, while steep decline in Western and OECD countries is clearly evident. (Poster 2008)

OUR MISSION

Compare the experiences of IT workers in India and the UK to see what the UK can learn from the Indian case.

Explore the insights of migrant women and men who move between UK and India and have experience of both work cultures in order to obtain new insights into gender norms in each country as well as best practice.
